The Town of Farmington welcomes you to these WebPages. Take a look around and discover this beautiful township of over 76 square miles surrounded by the beautiful rolling bluffs of the Coulee Region. Located in northern La Crosse County, is the home of the communities of Burr Oak, Mindoro and Stevenstown.  The township was organized in 1854 and continues to thrive as a place for both locals and visitors alike.

Broadband Improvement

At the January Town Board meeting the following Resolution and Ordinance were passed in an effort to inform our state elected officials and the Wisconsin Public Service Commission of the need for better Broadband service in our Township.

Dog License Information

If you have questions, please contact the township treasurer, Jodi Anderson, at 608-857-3550. Leave a message if there is no answer.

Wisconsin Statutes require that all dogs over the age of 5 months be licensed. The licenses can be purchased
from the Treasurer when paying your taxes. Documentation of rabies vaccination is required for new dogs and
for license renewals if the previous vaccination expiration has passed. Renewals after April 1, 2017 must be
purchased at La Crosse County Clerk’s office. Licenses for new dogs still may be purchased from the Town of
Farmington treasurer. If you no longer have a dog, please tell me so records can be updated at the county
clerk’s office.
Dog license fees are the following:
Non-Spayed/Non Neutered dogs – $21.00
Spayed/Neutered dogs – $11.00
Multiple dogs – $80.00
