The Town of Farmington operates a centralized solid waste and recycling center located at W3765 County Road DE, just east of Mindoro.
Hours of operation are:
Tuesday – 1PM to 5PM
Saturday – 8AM to Noon
The facility operates on user fees. Material not suitable for recycling should be placed in a clear/transparent plastic bag. A bag is defined as 30 gallons in size, not weighing more than 30 pounds. The cost of disposal is $1 (one dollar) per bag. Items for the landfill are charged on estimated weight. Electronics, mattresses and box springs are charged at current disposal costs.
We accept paper, cardboard, tin cans, plastic bottles, aluminum cans, and other metals for recycling at no cost. A publication called the Recycler is mailed to town residents and landowners each January. If you lost your copy or a new resident ask for a copy at the center. To view a copy click the button below.
Household Hazardous Materials
For disposal of household hazardous materials we are unable to accept at our facility, La Crosse County will take them at their facility at 6500 State Road 16, La Crosse, WI. For more information visit http://www.co.la-crosse.wi.us/SolidWaste/hhm.asp
